
Is a worldwide non-profit organization that was created by the Spanish Government in 1991. Its purpose is to promote the study, use, and teaching of Spanish as a foreign language and to contribute to the advancement of Spanish and Hispanic-American cultures. There are more than 30 Institutes in 27 countries.
Cervantes represents quality in teaching services and in the diffusion of cultural issues that strengthen the background of Spanish speaking countries.
The Associated Center in Quito (S.I.Spanish Institute) is the first Center of this kind established in South America.
