DIPLOMAS DE ESPAÑOL COMO LENGUA EXTRANJERA DELE:

The Diplomas de Español como Lengua Extranjera (DELE) are official titles granted by Instituto Cervantes in the name of the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports of Spain, demonstrating the competency and command level of the Spanish language.

Quito S.I. Spanish Institute is an Examination Center in Ecuador as per an agreement signed with Instituto Cervantes.

LEVELS OF THE DIPLOMAS:

Initial Level: candidate demonstrates enough command of the language as to understand and react appropriately to everyday situations and communicate wishes and needs in a basic way.

Intermediate Level: candidate demonstrates enough command of the language as to defend himself in everyday situations in normal circumstances of communication that do not need the specialized use of the language.

Superior level: candidate demonstrates enough command of the language needed to defend himself in situations that require a higher use of the language and a knowledge of cultural habits shown through the language.

DELE PREPARATION

LEVELS: INITIAL, INTERMEDIATE, SUPERIOR

40-hour course designed to prepare DELE applicants in the three levels of the exam. This course takes place prior to the examination dates in May and November of each year and focuses on advanced topics of the five language skills: reading comprehension, writing, listening comprehension, grammar and vocabulary. The course includes a placement exam, course materials and final evaluation (DELE pre-exam).
